AN AUSTRALIAN SUMMER WITH NOTHING TO PROVE.
Activewear became everyday wear. People wear it to pilates, to the shops and to lunch. The fibres never changed: most of it is still made from petrol.
Nōht is made from plants. Seaweed, wood, castor beans and corn, knitted into four pieces in two colours. Designed in Australia, for where people actually go: the ocean pool before work, the walk back from pilates, the backyard after.

Pure Movement is our community: the sessions, activations and collaborations we run with the people who wear nōht.
Nōht is pronounced "nought".
Built from plants, not petroleum.
Nōht is high-performing activewear built without petroleum-derived polyester, nylon or spandex.
The activewear industry has spent decades making a particular decision on our behalf.
Polyester, conventional nylon, petroleum-based spandex. Not because they were the best option for the body, but because they were cheap to produce, easy to scale and profitable to discount. The decision was made quietly, and then it was made again with every product that followed.
It began with a question.
Nōht began with a different question. One that came not from a market gap or a trend report, but from a personal experience that made the standard answer unacceptable. The story behind it is worth reading.
What it produced, after two years of material development and independent laboratory testing, is a bio-performance textile built from seaweed-enriched cellulose, plant-derived bio-nylon and bio-based elastane. Full performance. No petrochemical foundation.
They have simply decided that when something better exists, they would like to know.
The people who wear nōht are already asking the same questions about everything else they put in and on their bodies.
They read ingredients. They understand that what sits against their skin for several hours a day is not a neutral variable.
They are not looking to be corrected or optimised.
It exists now.
Pure Movement is both things at once.
The fabric, and the people who decided the standard choice was worth questioning.
